About The Position
As our newly appointed Instrumentation and Controls Drafter, you will use your expertise to produce P&ID’s, Basic Wiring Drawing, Local Control Panel GA and Wiring Drawing, PLC Panel GA and Wiring Drawings, Loop drawings, Hook up drawing, Boolean Logic Drawing and all the instruments and controls related drafting activities using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Location: On site, Oakham, PE9 4AQ
Hours: 8:30am - 5pm
Key Responsibilities
- Analyses and review of as sold proposals, customer specifications/requirements in conjunction with the assigned Control Engineer to draft the required drawings for the application.
- Utilizes AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical for the documents.
- Assists Controls Engineers create the Bills Of Materials (BOM).
- All required drawings/documents are completed within required timescales and meet project and quality requirements.
- Assists with reviewing customer mark-up prints and disposition of comments.
- Workshop visits to assist with design changes as required per the project and to assist shop personnel with production of equipment.
- Production of as-built drawings and P&IDs.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Word / Excel / Adobe and all Web based systems for design completion.
- Check own and other Drafter drawings for accuracy.
About You
- Ideally you'll hold a degree and/or equivalent combination of experience (drafting/design experience using AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Electrical in an Electrical and/or Controls and Instrumentation engineering environment).
- You’ll have experience in producing Controls and Instrumentation drawings complete with full BOM's.
- Experience with control panel, wiring & drawings design.
- Experience in P&ID's - desirable.
- You’ll possess strong time management skills and be confident in job prioritization.
- Assertive, confident and self-motivated.
Additional Requirements
- Full valid UK driving licence required.
- Must live within 1-hour commutable distance to our Stamford Office, PE9 4AQ.
