CCP Games is seeking a strategic, player-focused, and growth-minded Senior Community Manager / Senior Community Developer to join our global community team in shaping the future of EVE Vanguard, an FPS MMO that is positioned to be a key new experience within the EVE Online universe. You’ll take the lead in building and expanding a thriving community beyond our current player base, delivering engagement strategies that resonate with new and veteran players alike. You will be a critical link between players and developers, bringing player feedback to the forefront while advocating for community-informed development.
As a member of the CCP Community team, you’ll collaborate closely with Brand as well as the wider Publishing and Development teams to ensure EVE Vanguard grows in both reach and impact. We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives on collaboration and takes pride in delivering measurable results.
Your Tasks
- Community Growth & Strategy: Design and execute impactful community development plans for EVE Vanguard, targeting both core and adjacent audiences. Define and track KPIs tied to engagement, retention, and sentiment; adapt strategies to meet performance goals. Champion experimentation with new platforms and outreach methods to extend the community beyond existing boundaries.
- Player Feedback & Advocacy: Act as a conduit between players and CCP, surfacing key insights, trends, and concerns from the community. Partner with internal teams to advocate for player needs and help shape transparent, player-first messaging.
- Content, Comms & Channel Management: Contribute to planning and publishing content across community platforms, including Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Twitch, Steam, X, et al. Help ensure alignment across all channels, working closely with Brand and the rest of Publishing to maintain voice, tone, and messaging consistency.
- Daily Community Engagement: Actively engage with the community across platforms such as Discord, Reddit, Steam forums, Facebook, X, TikTok, and Twitch - supporting conversations, managing expectations, and strengthening trust in CCP.
- Campaigns, Events & Activations: Support and lead initiatives such as in-game events, livestreams, AMAs, podcasts, social campaigns, and global events. Collaborate on execution and post-mortem analysis to improve effectiveness and engagement over time.
- Measurement & Reporting: Track community sentiment, flag potential concerns, and support reporting on performance and impact of community initiatives.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in community development, preferably in the games industry or managing online communities in a similar space.
- Demonstrated success in growing communities beyond a core fanbase in evolving IPs.
- Strategic thinker with experience setting and delivering against KPIs and growth targets.
- Deep understanding and love of FPS culture.
- An active understanding of sandbox community dynamics is a huge plus.
- Experienced across major platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitch, Steam, TikTok, etc.) and comfortable experimenting with emerging channels.
- Skilled at navigating and collaborating across Publishing and Game Development teams.
- Excellent communicator - able to balance transparency with professionalism and represent both community and studio perspectives.
- Proficient with tools for analytics, content scheduling, & community listening.
- Comfortable with streaming/podcasting setups.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Willing to travel for community events, fan gatherings, and CCP activations.
