Summary
Oversee Release Management of all SBS products to ensure no adverse impact to production services and ensure the technical integrity of the applications. Ensure implementations are approved and that only the correct, authorized, and tested code versions are installed in production environments. Troubleshoot and resolve failures to promote production code. Support continuous enhancement of the Release Management process to meet required business needs. Maintain current Release Management tools, documents, and reports.
The SBS Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) focuses on Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. The Release Manager partners with Development, QA and Engineering and other IT teams in achieving their goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Release Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage release plans and schedules.
- Coordinate release activities across teams.
- Identify dependencies and risks related to releases.
- Change Management
- Ensure all changes go through proper change control processes.
- Evaluate and approve changes to minimize disruption.
- Deployment Execution
- Manage the end-to-end release process.
- Communication & Documentation
- Act as the central point of contact for all release-related information.
- Communicate release status, timelines, and issues to stakeholders.
- Risk Management & Mitigation
- Identify potential release-related risks and issues.
- Develop contingency plans and manage escalations.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously improve release processes and automation strategies.
Experience / Skills
- 3+ years in Release Management or similar roles managing complex cross team projects
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and methodologies
- Proficient in office and collaboration tools such as MS Sharepoint, Jira, MS Office & Confluence

- Experience with Power BI or similar tools
- Understanding of Jenkins automation
- Previous experience working within a Scrum of Scrum or scaled Agile models
Education
Degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences or related field
