Your role
- Are you interested in algorithmic trading? Are you an innovative thinker and enjoy building a leading trading platform?
- Help design and enhance trading algorithms and analytics for the equities business and beyond.
- Back test trading strategies across different market regimes.
- Analyze client trading patterns to optimize their interactions with UBS.
- Provide execution consultancy on client order flow, including Transaction Cost Analysis.
- Research market microstructure and produce analysis for clients.
- Collaborate closely with Electronic Trading, Equity front office, and IT to deliver regional and global projects.
Your team
You will be part of the Algorithms and Analytics team in London, responsible for providing trading algorithms and execution consultancy for electronic trading across all equities and other products. The team builds high-performance quant trading models, researches market microstructure, and optimizes trading performance.
Your expertise
- Doctorate/master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or engineering.
- Experience in designing and building algorithmic trading models and modeling market microstructure.
- Strong data exploration and modeling skills.
- Understanding of market dynamics and ability to visualize large data sets.
- Big data analysis and deep learning skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ on Linux and Windows.
- Knowledge of UNIX utilities and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with at least one statistical language (R, MATLAB, etc.).
- Experience with KDB and q is a plus.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals and modern software development practices.
- Interest in market structure and trading.
- Keen learner and enjoys challenges.
