Location: Hybrid working, both home and Uxbridge office based with some European travel
Duration: Fixed term to 31st October 2026
Purpose: Fully accountable for marketing planning, implementation and required course correction of all SBD related brands. Leads and coaches the marketing team to ensure collaboration and effective ways of working. Drives excellent cross functional working across the business, orchestrates all cross functional brand team activity to ensure alignment with overall brand strategies. Defines the strategy for the cross functional Brand Teams, prioritises activity and unblocks challenges for the team to ensure delivery. Leads in-country implementation and execution of the SBU strategy, working closely with internal and external partners to deliver against defined targets in a timely fashion.
Accountabilities / Measures:
- Defines the business priorities for the wider Brand Teams across all relevant SBD products (e.g., business questions to address with a commercial focus)
- Builds, maintains and prioritizes the backlog of the Brand Teams
- Proactively addresses challenges, removes blocks to drive excellent execution of all activity by the wider brand teams
- Provides coaching, guidance and appropriately challenges the members of the Brand Teams
- Oversees campaign monitoring and defines corrective actions if needed
- Design systematic methods of gaining insights from key customers - both internal and external - to identify key drivers and growth opportunities
- Support the team in the delivery of the SBU strategic plan and development of personalized customer campaigns in consideration of the strategic framework
- Tracks performance of a highly motivated team to achieve business objectives and individual development, implements clear and measurable performance metrics
- Accountable for budget planning and tracking to support SBD delivery against defined P&L
Technical/Professional Knowledge:
- University degree
- Deep cross functional understanding of market/pharma commercial industry (8-11 years)
- Experience in CVD across both primary and secondary care audiences
- Proven experience of leading and managing engaged and highly motivated teams
- Capable of leading and participating in agile integrated campaigns across functions
- Deep understanding of the principles of CX and its effect on Marketing
- Significant experience leading a marketing team in a multiple product franchise
- Ability to interpret analytics results and plan appropriate action
- Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
- Experience of closed loop marketing and driving data driven decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent strategic thinking skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the UK National Healthcare System
