The Role
As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering Clancy's supply chain strategies across our infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Group Head of Supply Chain, you'll take ownership of supplier performance, procurement governance, and commercial negotiations, while also mentoring an apprentice Buyer. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence procurement at a strategic and operational level.
Here are some of the activities you'll be involved in:
- Leading sector-level procurement, ensuring governance of POs, goods receipting, and invoice queries.
- Building strong, transparent relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supporting local procurement strategies in line with group initiatives.
- Negotiating deals that balance cost, quality, and delivery across multiple projects.
- Enhancing tendering, supplier assurance, and prequalification processes.
- Collaborating with estimators, engineers, and project teams.
- Monitoring supplier performance and conducting audits.
- Analysing data to spot trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- At least five years' procurement experience ideally in civil engineering or infrastructure, with strong knowledge of materials and confident supplier negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, understanding of procurement regulations, and valuing compliance and sustainability.
- Natural problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail, able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead by example and support the development of others.
