Our client, a leading broadband service provider, is looking for an experienced CPE Wi-Fi QA Engineer to join their QA and certification team. The focus of this role is on test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and lab management related to broadband CPE devices and wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on test cases for CPE devices and related services.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, and technical teams for connectivity and certification.
- Setup and manage test labs for broadband CPEs, wireless gateways, and Wi-Fi extenders.
- Perform network and device quality testing to identify improvements and efficiencies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in CPE/networking testing, troubleshooting, and lab management.
- Strong knowledge of DOCSIS, Fiber, Wi-Fi 5/6, IPv4/6, LAN/WAN, and device management.
- Experience with test tools, traffic generators, performance/stability testing, and debugging.
- Solid network troubleshooting capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- 3+ years of experience specifically in broadband CPE testing.
- Strong IP networking background for device setup, config, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum/DevOps environments.
- Python scripting for network/device test automation.
