Full-time, permanent role

Salary: Band 5 or Band 6 roles available. Salary range £42K – £50K

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am/8:30am start but can be flexible

Location: Kennington, London

About the role:

As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be working across 3 pediatric schools in Kennington with children 5-14 years to support their social, emotional, behavioural and educational development.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Plan, resource & prepare effective and engaging therapy programmes for children
  • Deliver whole-staff therapeutic training
  • Adopt a capacity building approach whereby the aim of intervention is to equip staff with the skills to effectively facilitate the development of pupils’ communication skills
  • Assist in determining the communicative function of a behaviour and to develop/target goals that will reduce challenging behaviour by providing pupils with a more effective means of communicating
  • Establish functional goals that promote meaningful participation and increased independence
  • Develop, facilitate and monitor the implementation of whole class intervention programs
  • Complete termly therapy reports on children’s progress in individual and group therapy sessions
