Who we are looking for
A MicroStrategy Developer, who will be responsible for building and maintaining reporting solutions that underpin the Data Distribution and Analytics department.
As a key member of our highly skilled team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our most critical and complex reporting systems, leveraging both SQL and Microstrategy technologies. You will work with a vast data installation, extracting and reporting on data from tables containing billions of rows as well as our data warehouse. You will also be utilising advanced analytics and visualisation capabilities to drive insights.
The role involves understanding the intricacies of our data and identifying the best possible way of delivering this to the Business to meet reporting needs. We are looking for individuals with both SQL and Microstrategy experience, who can push the boundaries of what the products can achieve, always striving for faster, simpler and more robust solutions. - Commercial experience with SQL Server and Microstrategy.
- Strong data profiling, visualisation and analysis skills.

- Knowledge of performance monitoring and query tuning.

Main Responsibilities
- Developing reporting solutions that process, aggregate, and reconcile vast amounts of data into highly optimised solutions.
- Developing an in-depth and detailed knowledge of the Business data and KPIs.
- Analysing and troubleshooting poorly performing queries, reports, procedures and batch jobs.
- Collaborating with other team members on multi developer projects.
- Conducting quality assurance to ensure code is both accurate and performant.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to streamline existing processes.
- Developing solutions in line with departmental standards.
- Taking responsibility for the creation and maintenance of relevant documentation.
