Data Protection & Compliance Officer – FMCG – IMPORT AND DISTRIBUTION / HOME TEXTILES

Role Overview:

Our client a highly successful FMCG import / distribution homeware brand are seeking a meticulous Data Protection & Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and data protection requirements. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining their brand integrity and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage data privacy statements and contracts with data processors.

Act as the primary point of contact for data protection queries and issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Stay updated on changes to data protection laws and regulations.

Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

Experience in FMCG import distribution /Retail brand

Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field.

Proven experience in data protection compliance.

Strong knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

Familiarity with the home textile industry is a plus.
