Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join a Warwickshire based EV Battery Manufacturer as Head of Safety, Security & Environment. This is a pivotal global role, responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s safety, security and environmental strategy across all operations, functions, suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an integrated Safety, Security & Environment (SSE) strategy aligned with business goals and industry standards (e.g. ISO45001, ISO/IEC27001, ISO14001).
  • Provide leadership across the organisation, driving quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, maintaining all required certifications and accreditations.
  • Lead the SSE team, promoting a high-performance culture and supporting professional development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Oversee supplier quality management, including audits and performance assessments.
  • Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Report on SSE performance to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, quality management or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years’ experience in safety, security and environmental leadership roles within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in building and implementing management systems.
  • Skilled in data analysis, problem solving and performance reporting.
  • Experience managing budgets and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.

Package:

  • £70K-£95K (DOE)
  • 20% Annual Bonus
  • 8% Pension
  • Family Healthcare Package
