Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical development of internal market risk models and the external proxy framework
- Take ownership of key risk modules, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial relevance
- Deliver robust quantitative analysis, insight and scenario testing to senior stakeholders
- Translate complex modelling into clear, actionable insights
- Cross-collaborate across assumption setting, reporting, and capital optimisation
Requirements:
- FIA (or equivalent) with a strong quantitative background (FRM also considered)
- Proven expertise in Solvency II/Solvency UK and internal capital models
- Strong coding skills - Python preferred, R or MATLAB also useful
- Experience with proxy modelling, distribution fitting or credit/market risk
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills - can bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- Credible and capable of stepping up when the Head of Capital is unavailable
