I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a global logistics leader with over 12 UK sites and a presence in key markets around the world. Due to continued growth and expansion, they're now looking to strengthen their transport planning team with the addition of an experienced Transport Planner at their Stanford-le-Hope depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that's investing heavily in its UK operations. If you've got experience in pallet network operations, multi-drop planning, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role could be an ideal next step.
The Role:
- Planning and routing of multi-drop deliveries across the UK
- Day-to-day management of vehicles within a pallet network operation
- Liaising with drivers, depots, and customers to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules
- Monitoring vehicle and driver compliance with relevant transport legislation
- Using transport management systems (TMS) to coordinate and optimise daily schedules
- Responding quickly to delays, breakdowns, and last-minute changes
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a transport planning role (ideally in a pallet network or multi-drop environment)
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
- Good working knowledge of driver hours, WTD, and transport legislation
- Excellent communication skills - able to coordinate effectively across teams
- Proficiency with TMS and planning tools (e.g. Paragon, Mandata, Microlise - advantageous)
