We're hiring a dynamic National Account Manager to join a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced FMCG environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong customer relationships, creating growth strategies, and delivering measurable results.
You will take ownership of key wholesale accounts, lead the development of strategic channel plans, and explore new growth opportunities while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial success.
What You'll Do as a National Account Manager:
- Develop and execute annual sector plans aligned with wider business goals
- Build and implement strategic account plans to drive volume, revenue, and profit
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with key buyers and stakeholders
- Tailor category-led solutions that meet customer needs and unlock value
- Present and negotiate promotional activity and commercial agreements
- Maximise brand visibility, distribution, and market share across your accounts
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Field Sales, and wider internal teams
- Conduct competitor reviews and in-field visits regularly
- Track and report performance using commercial systems and internal data tools
- Attend internal meetings at head office three days per week (Tues-Thurs)
What You'll Bring as a National Account Manager:
- At least 3 years of experience in FMCG or similar national account management
- Proven ability to deliver commercial growth through strategic planning
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building experience
- Commercially aware with strong data analysis capabilities
- Proactive, results-driven, and a collaborative team player
Qualifications:
- GCSEs including English and Maths
- Degree preferred (ideally in Business or a related field)
- Proficient in MS Office and commercial systems (e.g. Business Objects)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
