V&C Associates has a fantastic opportunity for a Laundry Technical Manager to join London's first ever garment washing facility working with global brands. The organisation has a multimillion investment of state-of-the-art SUSTAINABLE commercial laundry/drying and finishing equipment and is looking for a technical operative. You’ll be responsible for the smooth running, maintenance, and optimisation of the sophisticated laundry equipment — from industrial washing machines to laser and ozone systems.

This role is perfect for a multi-skilled technician with both electrical and plumbing qualifications, and a passion for sustainability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor and maintain a range of industrial laundry equipment including ozone, laser and wash machines.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose faults, source parts and complete repairs quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, materials used and machine performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and report hazards or unsafe practices.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to order specialist materials or components.
  • Support the commissioning and integration of new equipment and processes.
  • Mentor junior team members or apprentices as needed.
  • Present a professional image and act as a company ambassador at all times.
  • Collaborate with the operations and sustainability team to improve energy, water, and resource efficiency.
  • Contribute to R&D and innovation projects exploring new finishing methods, process improvements and sustainable solutions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Recognised qualifications in both electrical (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and plumbing trades.
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role ideally in a commercial laundry, factory, or production environment.
  • Deep understanding of how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial washing systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial settings.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
