What will you do? Make an impact! We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to take ownership of Fixed Assets across all UK legal entities. Key responsibilities include managing an efficient and accurate month-end close process, overseeing CAPEX budget and forecasting, implementing and monitoring internal financial controls, and supporting a smooth and timely UK audit. The role also involves driving continuous improvement within the control environment. This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage creation, approval tracking, and accounting of Capital Approval Forms (CAFs) and fixed assets in SAP across all UK legal entities.
- Ensure accurate capitalisation, depreciation, and maintenance of assets in line with group policy, including managing Assets Under Construction (AUCs).
- Lead monthly reporting and analysis of fixed asset movements and CAPEX vs. budget/forecast by business and project.
- Coordinate the fixed asset budgeting and forecasting process and support finance business partners and site admins with asset inventories.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support UK audit and statutory account preparation.
- Handle auditor and tax queries and perform other ad hoc tasks as required.
Do you have what it takes?
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified/qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting, statutory accounts, and financial analysis within industry.
- Strong SAP (Finance modules) and advanced Excel skills, with confidence handling large data sets and reconciliations.
- Background in a similar role, ideally within a large, multisite organisation.
- Track record of improving financial controls and supporting IT/process developments.
- Commercially aware, hands-on, and highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- High integrity and the ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships.
