Our client, a Tier 1 contractor is seeking to employ several Temporary Works Coordinators on ongoing contracts to be based around the Huddersfield region working on a major civil engineering/infrastructure scheme.
What you'll be doing:
- Act as the single point of contact for all Temporary Works (TW) information.
- Coordinate TW activities across all contractors and subcontractors on site.
- Maintain and manage the Master Register of Temporary Works.
- Assess and approve temporary works loading, issuing permits as required.
- Work with the project team to create accurate and site-specific design briefs.
- Ensure independent design checks are completed by qualified personnel.
- Implement Inspection & Test Plans and Quality Control checklists to verify compliance with certified designs.
- Confirm that Temporary Works do not compromise Permanent Works, backed by sign-off from designers and checkers.
The Experience we're looking for:
- Experience as a TWC on projects of similar scale and complexity.
- CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
- Strong grasp of BS 5975 Temporary Works procedures.
- Engineering design and/or management background.
- Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) preferred.
- Working knowledge of Network Rail standards and approval processes (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 Regulations, especially Designer and Principal Contractor roles.
- Chartership or Incorporated status (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is a plus.
