Are you an experienced Audit professional looking to take that final step into Partnership, or seeking a partnership with a respected work-life balance? Perhaps you’re already operating at a senior level, but not being offered the progression or equity you deserve?

We’re partnering with a well-established and highly respected independent practice in Leeds, known for their down-to-earth, supportive culture and strong long-term client relationships. Due to ongoing growth and succession planning, the firm is seeking an ambitious Audit Partner or existing Responsible Individual (RI) to join the senior leadership team, with equity from the outset.

Central to this, you will be driving the audit function, managing a diverse and loyal client base, and supporting the development of the next generation of talent within the business. This is a rare opportunity to make your mark within a progressive, partner-led practice that values quality, integrity, and relationships above all else.

The role will be responsible for and not limited to:

  • Signing off audit reports as a Responsible Individual (RI)
  • Leading and reviewing audit assignments for a varied SME and OMB client portfolio across Yorkshire.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients, becoming a key adviser on technical and strategic matters.
  • Mentoring and developing members of the team, shaping the future of the firm.
  • Contributing to business development activity and identifying growth opportunities within your portfolio.

Essentially, this role is ideally targeting ACA or ACCA qualified, with eligibility (or desire) to become an RI. Proven track record in an audit-focused role within a UK-based accountancy practice. Experienced in managing a team, reviewing work, and building long-term client relationships. Commercially minded, collaborative, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of a firm. Looking for long-term progression, with equity or profit share from the start, but also with a balanced work-life approach.

Offering the chance to truly influence the strategic direction of the firm and not just 'make up the numbers'. A collaborative team culture with genuine flexibility, low staff turnover, and a modern way of thinking. Whether you’re an established RI ready for a fresh challenge, or a Senior Manager / Director who’s ready for Partnership but not being offered the path internally, we’d love to speak with you. Short listing commencing over the next 2 weeks.
