Our client, a specialist contractor in Energy, Water & Utilities, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a contract basis around the South West area.
Experience Required for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and RICS/CICES membership or working toward chartership.
- Strong track record in NEC contract management within energy, infrastructure, utilities, M&E, or related sectors.
- Proficient in CEMAR, Excel, cost control, valuations, forecasting, and contractual notices.
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness; ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial management across civil and M&E contracts (NEC3/NEC4), from procurement to final account.
- Produce monthly cost/value reports, financial forecasts, applications for payment, and valuation records.
- Administer subcontract agreements and manage supply chains issuing NEC subcontracts, managing CEMAR change events, and ensuring compliance.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to site teams and stakeholders; manage risks and opportunities.
- Mentor junior QS staff and support wider commercial operations.
