Microbiology Shift Manager

Our product portfolio included a comprehensive range of IV generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products.
The Role
Reporting to the Sterility Assurance Manager, the Microbiology Shift Manager will provide quality and operational direction to the Microbiology team. The role is full-time Monday – Friday and is based at our head office in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Responsibilities
• Recruiting, organising and managing laboratory personnel
• Ensuring all monitoring processes are correct and valid, adhered to and updated as necessary
• Writing Standard Operating Procedures relating to job roles
• Ensuring all samples are taken and processed appropriately, to monitor level of control within cleanroom
• Performing, co-ordinating and assisting in deviation investigations as required
• Ensuring any OOL/OOS or adverse trends are reported to Senior Management immediately as appropriate
• Completing records required in the department including QMS documents and the training and personnel file
Qualifications/experience
• Degree in Microbiology/Related Science with extensive experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role
• Previous experience in working within a laboratory or pharmaceutical/microbiology or healthcare industries
• Knowledge of GMP/regulatory requirements specifically for manufacturing and control of aseptically produced products
• Experience of aseptic operations, product knowledge and team management are desirable
