Our company, Cotswold Talent Solutions, are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Swindon for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team and work on day shifts. This is a temporary opportunity, offering day work shifts between Monday and Friday. No handball involved!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.

Duties
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all relevant regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Skills
  • Proven experience in commercial driving.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items when necessary.

Valid C+E (Class 1) Licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card.

Please note due to the insurance restrictions of this client we can accept no IN10, DD, DR and max 6 points.
