Hybrid working – 3 days in the office. This opportunity is with a leading global media and events organisation that provides content, community, and commercial insight across industries such as agribusiness, food processing, hospitality, and retail. Operating across key international hubs including Gatwick, Brighton, London, Montpellier, Singapore, and Chicago, the company runs world-class business summits in locations such as San Francisco, Dallas, London, Amsterdam, São Paulo, and Singapore. Their Brighton-based events team is responsible for the full planning and delivery of these global conferences, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and industry collaboration. With a close-knit and supportive team, they are looking to welcome an experienced and passionate event manager to the growing team.

The Event Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of international B2B summits. This includes logistical planning, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, onsite execution, and post-event reporting. The position offers hybrid working based from the Brighton office, with regular international travel required to deliver events on the ground.

Key Responsibilities of the Event Manager:

  • Full ownership of event logistics, including venue sourcing, AV, hotel bookings, catering, delegate travel, and exhibitor coordination.
  • Onsite delivery: overseeing registration, speaker management, and ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Liaising with internal teams including marketing, sales, and admin to align timelines and objectives.
  • Managing speakers and suppliers: issuing briefings, tracking deliverables, and supporting content development.
  • Utilising tools such as Cvent and Swapcard for delegate management, branding, and data capture.
  • Supporting commercial success through efficient budgeting and negotiation.

The Candidate:

The ideal Event Manager will have a proven track record of managing end-to-end event planning and onsite delivery, coupled with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders, speakers, and suppliers. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with event platforms such as Cvent or Swapcard is desirable. Additional language skills, such as Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin, would be an advantage. Candidates must also be open to international travel and flexible working hours around event delivery.
