An exceptional private hospital in Central London is looking for an experienced Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to join their senior leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading procurement and supply chain operations within a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools (e.g. ERFX) and inventory systems
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain risks
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and procurement ethics in healthcare
  • Previous line management experience, including team development and resource planning

Main Duties:

  • Develop and implement a hospital-wide procurement and supply chain strategy that supports high-quality clinical care
  • Analyse market trends and supply chain risks to optimise procurement operations and ensure continuity of supply
  • Use digital procurement tools to drive competitive and transparent sourcing processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand departmental needs and align procurement practices accordingly
  • Lead and manage the procurement & supply chain team, providing clear direction, ongoing training, and performance feedback
  • Oversee contract renewals, supplier performance, and cost control across all procurement categories
  • Implement risk management strategies, including contingency planning for critical medical supplies
  • Co-lead the hospital’s Medical Device Committee, supporting best practice in procurement and safety governance
