We are looking for an Associate to join our Real Estate Investment Banking team within our Capital Markets EMEA business line.
What can you expect from JLL Capital Markets?
- The Real Estate Investment Banking team focuses on advising clients on M&A transactions, Recapitalisations, JVs, and Strategic Reviews.
- You should expect to take project and workstream responsibility early on and represent JLL Capital Markets as a fully integrated team member.
- You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable, first-hand experience of working with top executives in the sector (CEOs, CFOs etc.) and develop a wide network of contacts.
- You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in developing your knowledge and understanding of global capital markets.
What does the role entail?
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of real estate and corporate business opportunities for our client base including complex financial modelling, transaction structure analyses and positioning.
- Project execution across a wide range of products as a fully client-facing team member.
- Development of proprietary sector know-how, closely following developments in the real estate sector.
- Team-up with other JLL teams to ensure best-in-class service to our clients.
- Possible travel across Europe to join client and investor meetings.
- Support the EMEA Investment Banking business to provide EMEA market analysis, JLL performance statistics, underbidder analysis and presentations.
- Responsible for understanding how to work with JLL’s proprietary databases and research resources.
- Support senior managers by providing client intelligence and contribute to the development of our Client Relationship Management initiative.
- General transactional support including production of market materials and client reports.
- Maintain deal case study library with market transactions.
- Assist team with arranging meetings and client market tour itineraries.
What are we looking for?
- Someone with proven experience of working within an investment banking or corporate finance environment.
- “Big picture” thinking and a strong interest in global business cultures.
- Commercial awareness, sound judgement and a strategic mind.
- Interest in commercial property but prior experience not essential.
- Enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn from top professionals in the sector.
- Pro-activeness; self-motivation and goal orientation.
- Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent level of MS Office applications.
- Excellent command of electronic media and systems (Salesforce, Sharepoint).
- European languages are a benefit but not a requirement.
