Your new role

Hays are looking for reliable and adaptable Qualified Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Cardiff. These roles could be short term or long term and will cover a variety of schools across Cardiff. As this role is supply, you will be able to let us know when you are available to work, and we can arrange for you to work on the days that you tell us you can!

Duties relating to the role include but are not limited to:

  • Providing 1:1 and group support
  • Leading group provisions to help with learner development
  • Assisting teachers and other teaching assistants with day-to-day duties in the classroom.

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this role, it is required that you possess:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA status) Qualification
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Knowledge of IT
  • Experience working with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
