This is a fixed-term position as an Enterprise Programme Leader for the MAES Innovate initiative, running from September 2025 to March 2026. The role is pivotal in developing and delivering an innovative enterprise programme designed to foster entrepreneurial skills among diverse cohorts across the city.

Overview

The role holder will be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of an accessible enterprise programme aimed at early entrepreneurs. This will involve curriculum design, participant engagement, one-to-one support, and the coordination of IT facilities to ensure effective programme delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the entrepreneurial landscape for various community groups, including young learners with learning disabilities, ESOL learners, and Level 3+ learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of an enterprise programme for early entrepreneurs targeted at different cohorts (e.g. young learners with learning disabilities, ESOL learners, Level 3+ learners) which can be rolled out across the city.
  • Engagement of early entrepreneurs to develop an enterprise project.
  • Engagement and publicity activities.
  • One-to-one support and signposting into the business support ecosystem for individual entrepreneurs.
  • Development of the curriculum - non-accredited and accredited provision (Level 1 Enterprise).
  • Be involved and propose suggestions for the upgrade of provisions IT facilities to support delivery of the programme.

Project Timeline

  • September-October 2025 - Development of curriculum resources and scheme of work, engagement and publicity activities.
  • October-December 2025 - 4 cohorts start programme - 50 outputs, 5 individuals supported one-to-one to develop business ideas, formative evaluation of the project.
  • January-March 2026 - 4 cohorts start programme - 50 outputs, 5 individuals supported one-to-one to develop business ideas, summative evaluation.
