Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct and manage the execution of SUSE’s Cyber Security Strategy, aligning and landing the strategy with the SUSE C-level team and providing regular progress updates.
  • Policy and Compliance Management: Lead the creation and maintenance of the Security Policy Framework, ensuring compliance with standards like ISO/2, NIST, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
  • Security Operations and Risk Management: Oversee security operations and the IT security architecture, coordinate security efforts, and manage security projects globally.
  • Challenge Management: Manage security challenges by representing security needs at the corporate planning level, anticipating threats, and updating strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a team of security experts, fostering continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with technical and business units to improve security practices and handle security investigations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Management experience in IT and Security, with ability to deliver complex security roadmaps in a global organization.
  • Skills: Leadership in a global matrix organization, knowledge of security best practices and regulations.
  • Qualifications: Master’s in Security, Computer Science, or related; certifications like CISSP, CCISO, CCSK are desirable.
  • Personal Traits: High energy, strategic, excellent communicator, capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Experience hiring and managing distributed security teams.
  • Executive Relationships: Experience working with executive teams, boards, and investors to align security with business goals.
