VANRATH is assisting our client, a large-scale manufacturer, in their search for a Procurement Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the company's Lisburn office.

Permanent role

Salary: Negotiable

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with a 12:30 pm finish on Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and maximise purchasing power.
  • Negotiate favourable contracts with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and periodic reviews.
  • Maintain stock control and audit systems to meet production, delivery targets, and business objectives.
  • Oversee goods-inwards and storage operations for efficiency, safety, and space utilisation.
  • Monitor the central materials budget to control purchasing costs.
  • Analyse customer schedules, forecast material requirements, and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety regulations while driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop staff to maintain high performance, training, and motivation standards.
  • Support IT system improvements and operational enhancements.

  • Experience in a similar role

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Forklift License (not essential)
