Our client, a large international bank, is looking for an interim Head of Compliance based out of their London office on a hybrid basis. This is a contract role on a 6-12 month basis and is based inside IR35, so you would be expected to engage via an umbrella company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and external regulations.
- Conduct regular compliance assessments, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
- Administer the ongoing monitoring of AML controls, including suspicious activity reporting and risk assessments.
- Keep the policy up-to-date with new regulations and best practices.
Required Experience:
- Experience in a senior compliance role within financial services.
- Comprehensive understanding of mortgage products, lending regulations, and compliance requirements in a banking environment.
- ICA, CISI, or similar compliance or AML qualifications (desirable).
