Job Summary

Exegy is seeking a Manager, Business Analysis (Market Data) to lead a high-performing team of business analysts supporting our feed handler products and market data solutions. This individual will provide strategic oversight and hands-on expertise to ensure Exegy’s market data offerings are accurately aligned to evolving financial market structures and client needs. The role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in market data, a passion for mentoring others, and a track record of delivering results through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of business analysts responsible for Exegy’s market data modeling and feed integration.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for financial market data content across asset classes and global exchanges.
• Oversee development and governance of the Exegy Market Data Model, ensuring consistency and quality across all products.
• Drive improvements in market data normalization processes, tools, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable market data products.
• Guide analysis and onboarding of new market data venues, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, and FX.
• Partner with Customer Success and Operations to resolve complex market data-related inquiries.
• Ensure team output supports business priorities, including time-to-market, product accuracy, and documentation standards.
• Provide coaching and career development to team members to foster continuous learning and performance.
• Define KPIs and best practices for market data business analysis across the organization.
• Participate in strategic planning and product roadmaps with a focus on market data evolution and innovation.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of financial market structures, instruments, and trading workflows.
• Strong experience with market data feed protocols (e.g., FIX, ITCH) and key event types (Quote, Trade, Status, Reference Data).
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Agile teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA).

Preferred:

• Experience with real-time market data systems or low-latency trading environments.
• Exposure to scripting languages or Linux-based environments.
• Background in business process analysis or data modeling.
• Experience training or mentoring junior analysts or leading small teams.
