Meraki Talent are delighted to be partnering with our client, a successful and growing mid-size service sector organisation to recruit a Senior Manager, Commercial Finance & Analysis. Our client has ambitious growth plans that will enhance their UK operations, but also moving into key global markets. This is an exciting time to join the business in this newly created role that will have responsibility of an experienced team, with a clear focus on delivering insightful financial analysis, planning, business intelligence and commercial highlights. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will blend commercial accounting, FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and lead improvement and development of business intelligence.
Key duties of the role include:
- Understand both commercial and operational drivers for the business
- Eagerness to drive change in the current approach to MI, BI and FP&A - generate and report on insights and challenge assumptions and status quo
- Partner and connect with Commercial and Operational business heads to improve strategic planning and target setting
- Analytically focused to understand, interpret and bring to life the financial, commercial and operational data
- Design and develop insight BI production
- Maintain and develop sound financial models
- Prepare budgets and forecasts whilst investigating variances
- Present and report on business financial performance to Board
- Strategic analysis and planning
- Scenario analysis including stress scenarios
- Support various projects both business wide and ad hoc
Experience required:
- ICAS (ACA) or ACCA Qualified
- Ideally qualified with large Audit firm and transition to commercial role
- Ideally have experience of financial services or banking - consideration maybe given to PE/VC backed business also
- Good experience exposure to Power BI, Advanced Excel with potential experience of SQL/Alteryx would be advantageous
- Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
