Aria Partners are delighted to be supporting a global Private Equity Fund in the search for a readily available fund controller to fill a maternity cover role. Reporting to the Head of Fund Finance, this is a broad, commercially-focused role. The fund operates a heavily outsourced model when it comes to the accounting, allowing this position to focus on oversight and value add with scope for strategic input.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversight and management of third-party fund administrators, ensuring accurate and timely NAVs, capital activity, and investor reporting, while serving as the key point of contact for issue resolution and quality control.
- Audit support and coordination, leading the seasonal audit process in collaboration with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Liquidity management and treasury, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring fund capital needs across multiple vehicles.
- Portfolio performance analysis, supporting senior leadership with insights on valuations, fund metrics, and underlying asset performance.
- Investor relations support, including responding to ad hoc LP queries and contributing to investor reporting packs.
- Operational projects, helping to drive continuous improvement across fund operations, systems, and processes.
Requirements:
- Formal accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with circa 2-5 yearsβ post qualified experience.
- Strong technical grounding in fund accounting/control, ideally gained with private equity, private credit or other closed-ended structures.
- Prior experience overseeing third-party administrators and service providers is highly advantageous.
