In partnership with ABBA Voyage, Solotech supplies cutting-edge equipment and key production personnel across video, lighting and audio disciplines. Main Responsibilities: Leadership & Operational Oversight Provide strategic leadership to full-time technical teams across, video, lighting and audio disciplines. Serve as the single point of accountability for all Solotech operations at ABBA Voyage, and the main contact for the relationship with ABBA Voyage production team Support the ABBA Voyage production team to continuously improve the teamwork and culture on site, and the resilience of the technical delivery of the show Foster a leadership culture grounded in empowerment, learning, accountability, delegation, recruitment, and support. Coordinate staff scheduling in partnership with ABBA Voyage’s Technical Director, Solotech lead technicians and Project Managers and attend relevant scheduling meetings. Maintain a comprehensive overview of all on-site projects impacting technical operations. Empower Solotech lead technicians to lead effectively and hold them accountable for their department’s performance and development. Project & Technical Management Oversee technical delivery, financial management, and staffing decisions within Solotech’s remit. Collaborate with Lead Technicians to assess operational risks and proactively plan for possible contingencies. Ensure all technical teams are recruited from appropriate professional talent pools, thoroughly onboarded, and supported in their development. Champion a culture of shared knowledge across the team, ensuring all members understand the broader production environment. Communication & Collaboration Work collaboratively with all internal and external departments to maintain a high standard of operational efficiency. Communicate clearly with the show-running team and work in partnership with the ABBA Voyage teams (stage management, auto, technical and site) to support live problem-solving and uninterrupted show execution. Use Solotech’s communication systems (e.g., MS Teams) to ensure timely and effective information sharing. Actively build and sustain a collaborative, partnership-focused relationship with ABBA Voyage, moving beyond a traditional client–vendor dynamic, necessary to support the success of this complex production Professional Standards Always represent Solotech with integrity and professionalism Support the development of team members through mentoring and knowledge-sharing. Ensure all documentation (e.g., contracts, technical specs and schedules) are accurate and consistently updated. Ad-hoc Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager. Essential skills / experience: Have significant proven work experience within the live events industry with at least three years of team management Familiarity with one or more of the core technical disciplines used in the show video, lighting and audio Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage cross-functional technical teams Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills, with the ability to respond effectively to live production challenges Demonstrate competency in team coordination, conflict resolution, and accountability management Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and adaptability in fast-paced environments Essential Level of education: Industry accepted qualifications Desirable Level of education: Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or proven work experience Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years proven industry work experience within live events or Theatre sector, with knowledge of key controls and disciplines used within the show. Essential Requirements: Right to Work and Remain in the UK Full clean driving license. Ability to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays as required.
