The Senior Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director, Human Resources EMEA. This is an individual contributor role with no direct line management. You will work closely with our HR Business Partner team based in the US to support our global HR objectives. You will also work in partnership with our HR Shared Service Centre based in Poland. This role will support all business functions across our EMEA organization.
You’ll be responsible for a range of HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, talent planning and workforce analysis, learning and development and organizational effectiveness initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career on the HR Business Partner track and provides great exposure to senior executives and HR leaders alike.
The ideal candidate will have HR experience within the EMEA region, including some knowledge of regional employment law and local business practices in key countries – UK&I, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:- Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership offering guidance on HR related issues and educating employees on policies, programs, and processes.
- Acts as the main HR point of contact across EMEA, building strong relationships and providing hands-on support.
- Executes and supports HR programs including talent management, career development, succession planning, learning and development, reward and recognition programs, etc.
- Champions our Bitcoin treasury strategy and stays informed on the organization’s financial health, products, and services to align HR initiatives with business priorities.
- Guides leaders through employee development and the performance coaching process, assists with performance discussions, performance improvement metrics, onboarding and termination processes.
- Addresses and resolves complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and constructive outcomes.
- Implements and communicates new programs and policies that align with the organization’s overall strategy.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, Talent, and Learning & Development, to ensure a seamless employee experience across the organization.
- Ensures legal compliance with any applicable employment base regulations in the UK and EMEA region.
- An advocate of Strategy’s culture and helps mould a great workplace environment aligned with our core values.
- Operates within the headcount budget and works closely with the Finance team.
- Submits resource requests for new positions and talent movement across the organization.
- Collaborate with the HR Shared Services team to ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
- Partners with client groups on all employee relations matters, investigations, and the development and execution of performance improvement plans.
- Completes quality checks on submitted performance reviews and provides analytics related to performance management.
- Accountable for completion of quarterly performance planning within client group including communication, timelines, training and tools.
- Completes exit interviews to gather and analyze exit data for voluntary terminations and handles involuntary terminations.
- Works collaboratively with HRBPs and Legal partners to develop resolution strategies.
- Partners with the Immigration and business leadership teams to handle transfers of employees between countries.
- Uses HR analytics to identify trends and provides actionable recommendations that support operational efficiency, employee engagement, and strategic alignment.
- 5+ years in an HR Generalist role, with at least 3 years in a regional or international HR role focusing on EMEA.
- Knowledge of HR practices across key EMEA countries is desirable (UK, Germany, France and Netherlands).
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders and C-level executives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using HR data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with performance management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree of HR certification (CIPD, SHRM etc.,) is a plus.
