About the role
The CEO Office and Governance Coordinator is a key role in creating a high-performance corporate team in CF, one which supports the company to operate at its best and acts in support of achieving business goals. The CEO Office and Governance Coordinator forms part of the CEO’s team and reports to the Head of the CEO Office. The role has five core functions: responsibility for corporate calendar; orchestration of the company governance; company events management; and ownership of the recognition and milestone celebration programme.
This role manages the full corporate calendar of meetings and events for the year, from the planning through to execution, ensuring that the flow of corporate meetings is well balanced and takes due regard of business plan assumptions and corporate requirements. This requires significant proactivity and communication with a rolling agenda for the next twelve months covering for example, shareholder committees, Board meetings, executive committees, steering groups, company retreats, the winter party and other organised social activities.
The CEO Office and Governance Assistant will manage the sequence of corporate commitments to ensure the flow and preparation of meetings and events is expertly delivered, professionally managed, attended by a quorate number of people and is a great experience for those involved. The CEO Office and Governance Assistant will support the management of the company’s governance and action planning. As well as the organisation of the meetings, their facilities (in-person and/or virtually) and planning refreshments, the role is responsible for supporting the Head of the CEO Office to commission papers, organise and capture action notes for all governance meetings. This includes ensuring standardised approaches, maintenance of an overall company log, tracking progress against actions and providing reports to relevant meetings. The role is expected to set the standards, organise the team’s responsibilities and ensure Microsoft AI products are leveraged to maximise efficient working practices.
The management of all company events falls within the remit of the role. Beyond scheduling them, this involves participating in the creative development process involved in planning rewarding and impactful events for staff. The CEO Office and Governance Coordinator owns the delivery of the recognition policy on behalf of the CEO, supporting her to mark major milestones in the lives of team members. The role plans the celebration of milestones including day one at work for CF, work anniversaries, birthdays, recognition rewards, holiday gifts, gifts for major life milestones. Forward planning including with the use of the CEO’s time, so that the moment is never missed is essential to the successful execution for the role. As is a desire to learn what colleagues value so that cards and gifts are tailored to them.

Corporate Calendar & Governance
- Take the lead on planning our annual corporate calendar – from Board meetings and leadership forums to all-staff socials, company drinks, and awaydays.
- Own the smooth running of our governance structures – support Board and committee meetings, distribute papers, capture minutes, and drive action follow-up.
- Be the trusted point of contact for our Board – ensuring clear, timely communications and seamless scheduling.
- Make our meeting rhythm work – schedule events with intention, clarity (virtual vs in-person), and smart spacing.
- Secure venues, book rooms, and make sure the refreshments are just right.
- Work closely with the CEO Office to prepare for meetings and leadership touchpoints.
- Collaborate with our People Team to weave leadership development into the heart of the corporate year.
Corporate Coordination
- Ensure seamless team support by balancing assistant coverage during absences.
- Negotiate great-value corporate rates for hotels and travel – keeping our teams moving efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Partner with external providers to find fresh, innovative ways to save time and money while boosting team effectiveness.
Event Management
- Co-lead the planning and flawless execution of two major company retreats each year – from venues and food to entertainment and logistics.
- Shape unforgettable moments – from our annual September welcome event for new Analysts, to our festive winter party (with plus ones!).
- Coordinate the annual alumni event – blending professional insight and meaningful reconnection.
- Keep the leadership team connected through curated social dinners and activities.
- Drive monthly all-staff socials – from concept to calendar, making connection and culture fun.
- Own the staff entertainment budget – creating a vibrant programme of rewards and shared moments.
Recognition & Milestone Celebrations
- Take ownership of celebrating the big (and little) things – birthdays, work anniversaries, and life events that matter.
- Build strong internal networks to stay ahead of what’s coming up, and work with the CEO to ensure personal and thoughtful touches.
- Source meaningful cards and gifts, staying within budget while making each gesture count.
- Draft heartfelt messages for major work anniversaries (5 and 7 years) and help plan the comms that make these feel special.
- Co-develop a recognition programme to spotlight commercial wins, thought leadership, and annual staff awards.
- Coordinate with the People Team to ensure no celebration or milestone slips through the cracks.
- Spread cheer at year-end – from personalised Christmas cards to thoughtful gifts for staff and key contributors.
- Ensure all recognition efforts align with our company values and bring them to life.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a professional services environment within an executive assistant capacity.
- Exceptional diary management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work quickly to tight deadlines and support the team to do the same.

We embrace a hybrid working model, combining the best of remote and in-person collaboration. Our consulting team are together in person typically four days a week with flexibility to be in the office between our core hours of 10-4pm. Our default approach is to be in-person with our clients. In addition, up to four weeks a year each member of staff can work entirely virtually.
Holiday entitlement: 25 days/year for staff and 30 days/year for leadership, increasing by 1 day for every year of service up to a maximum of 35 days of holiday per year.
