Responsibilities

As a Marketing Work Placement for Social Media & Data Analytics, you will play a key role in driving our digital marketing efforts and data-driven decision-making.

  • Social Media: Research & User Interaction: Stay updated on social media trends to create timely, relevant content, and respond promptly to user comments and messages to foster engagement and build trust with our audience.
  • Content Management & Campaign Execution: Schedule and publish posts on WeChat according to the content calendar, ensuring consistency and engagement, while assisting in the planning and execution of social media campaigns to grow our audience.
  • Data Analytics: Performance Tracking & Audience Insights: Use analytics tools to monitor social media performance, identify key trends, and research audience behaviour to improve targeting and messaging.
  • Effectiveness Evaluation & Visualisation: Conduct regular evaluations of campaign effectiveness and user growth, reporting insights to the Marketing Coordinator, and present findings in visually appealing formats to guide marketing strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled) in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred, particularly in data analytics, business intelligence, or marketing analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Social Media Platforms and Tools: Hands-on experience with platforms like WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and TikTok. Familiarity with their analytics dashboards and engagement tools.
  • Analytics Tools Expertise: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables), with experience in specialised tools like Sensors Analytics, GrowingIO or WeChat Official Account Analytics being highly desirable. Understanding of data visualisation software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a significant advantage for working on Chinese platforms. Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data insights and propose data-driven strategies. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data reporting and analysis. Creativity & Initiative: Proactively generating ideas for improving campaigns and performance tracking. Collaboration & Independence: Comfortable working both in teams and autonomously to meet goals effectively.
