We have an amazing opportunity here at nDreams for an aspiring Audio Designer to join the team for a week this year. You will have the opportunity to work on real projects, with industry veterans, experts and newcomers alike to get a real oversight as to how our immersive VR games come to fruition.

What you will get up to:

  • Shadowing senior audio designers to observe workflows and learn best practices.
  • Editing and organising sound libraries, including tagging and categorising assets.
  • Recording Foley and environmental sounds for use in game prototypes or internal demos.
  • Learning about audio pipelines, file formats, and integration processes.
  • Contributing creative ideas during team brainstorms or audio reviews.
  • Integrate audio into Unreal Engine using the native audio systems.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of high-quality audio assets for VR games.
  • Participating in playtests to give and receive feedback on audio implementation.

What you will need:

  • A foundational understanding of audio design, gained through study, projects, or self-led learning.
  • A genuine interest in the games industry and curiosity about how games are made.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Respectful communication and professional behaviour in a studio environment.
  • The desire and willingness to upskill yourself and learn new skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g. navigating files, using email, typing).
