A new opportunity has arisen for a qualified Legal Advisor to join our successful Wills & Probate Department. To be successful in this role, you will have gained experience during or after training in Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection. Knowledge of trusts would also be beneficial. A willingness to work towards STEP qualification is expected and supported. You will need to present a professional image at all times, be well presented, confident, and possess excellent communication skills. You should be hardworking and able to work empathetically and sympathetically when dealing with clients who are bereaved or facing a loss of mental capacity. The position is based in our Sleaford office but will involve regular travel to other offices. Activities will include, but are not limited to: Promoting the firm’s full range of services, primarily focusing on Wills, Probate, and Private Client matters. Managing client work allocated by the Head of Department or other fee-earners, following detailed procedures and quality standards. Ensuring client work progresses efficiently, keeping clients informed about outcomes, progress, and costs. Maintaining high standards of client care in a professional and friendly manner. Ensuring confidentiality and security of all documentation and information. Achieving set billing and time recording targets annually. Maintaining clear communication with colleagues and external contacts. Fostering good relationships with internal teams and external organizations. Taking responsibility for self-development and training requirements. Supporting the Departmental Head and managing departmental administration. Excellent communication and writing skills, with practical and creative thinking abilities. Presentable, reflecting the Ringrose Law brand. Previous experience in a professional or customer service environment is preferred. Knowledge of case management systems is advantageous, training will be provided.
