We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our dynamic People Team. In this strategic role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Skipton Group, aligning people strategies with business goals to drive performance, engagement and growth. What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior People Partner, you will be joining a dedicated team of specialists, committed to driving the People strategy for our Enabling / Head Office support functions. You will play a pivotal role in driving organisational performance through leadership development, talent management, cultural initiatives, and workforce planning. You will have the opportunity to:
- Own and implement specific initiatives within the People Roadmap, working alongside other areas of the People team to deliver both the local and holistic people plan.
- Act as a trusted partner for people leaders, supporting business objectives through people focused strategies.
- Support leaders with performance enablement, development plans and coaching, using data and insights to identify high potential talent and address performance gaps.
- Work closely with the Talent and Development teams to implement succession planning, ensuring achievable talent plans are in place and creating a pipeline of talent and sustainable organisational development.
- Leverage people data and analytics to inform decision making, tracking KPIs such as attrition, engagement, DEI metrics and performance outcomes.
- Drive a culture of business accountability for people management practices, to ensure our People policies, systems and procedures are embedded to enable an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Champion a culture of inclusion, accountability and psychological safety using colleague voice/engagement data to co-create initiatives that enhance the colleague experience and well-being.
- Be actively involved in projects within both the People function and across the wider business, leading on activity as and when required.
What Do We Need From You?
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a similar position, ideally gained within financial services or another regulated industry.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of working effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including Executive team members.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience supporting complex business support functions would be advantageous.
- Expertise in strategic change, including planning, managing, and evaluating change initiatives.
- Degree level education or equivalent professional/vocational qualifications in Human Resource Management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of generalist HR practices and service delivery models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders.
- Experience using people analytics to support business recommendations and exposure to HR reporting and analytical tools.
- Previous experience of using Workday would be beneficial.
