Our client is a leading global manufacturer within the oil and gas industry and has an exciting opportunity for a Global Business Development Director to join the team.

About The Company:

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation that supplies a vast range of high-performance machined components and associated knowledge-based services specifically to the oil and gas and other process industries. Extensive expertise in selling mechanical products into OEM manufacturers on an international basis is a must for this role. Our client’s customers depend on them to ensure their operations run efficiently and effectively. Their team of experts utilise the latest technology to maximize reliability, provide rapid response, and develop innovations needed for challenging environments.

The Role:

The relevant individual will have proven experience selling components into OEM manufacturers of pumps, valves and compressors for use in the oil and gas market. You must have a track record of opening new international markets either direct or via a distribution network. This role will focus on sales in all the major international oil and gas territories and could include Europe, Middle East, Africa and America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and penetrate new international OEM customers, building relationships and a pipeline for the business in new territories
  • Setting up an international distribution network within relevant territories
  • Developing the sales strategy for the international business development plan
  • Identify where the products should be sold and execute the strategy
  • Manage and mentor a sales team to provide an outstanding customer experience

You:

A strong background in selling mechanical products into OEM’s that supply into the Oil and Gas sector. Able to identify new business opportunities and to act upon them strategically.
