Are you a driven and strategic thinker with a passion for the chemical industry? We’re looking for a Chemicals Sales Specialist to spearhead growth and unlock new opportunities across our chemical product portfolio. This is a high-impact role focused on expanding our market presence and building long-term client relationships.
What Will You Be Doing
- Work alongside the Account Managers on leads and new business opportunities
- Roll out global New Business Themes
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in base chemicals
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and industry stakeholders
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy
- Work with internal stakeholders to build tailored solutions for our clients, to drive revenue growth
- Deliver persuasive presentations and tailored solutions to potential clients
- Track sales performance and provide regular pipeline updates
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Skills And Experience
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s a plus)
- 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in the chemical sector
- Strong knowledge of base chemical products, applications, and market dynamics
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing new markets
- Pro-active, agile and able to work at pace
- Comfortable reviewing data to identify trends, opportunities and challenges
- Superb communicator, one-to-one and with groups, at all seniority levels
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation, using influencing and engaging colleagues to achieve your objectives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
