THE ROLE
Working closely with our Sales Leaders & Senior Trade Marketing Manager, the Assistant Trade Marketing Manager's role is to support design and delivery of a transformational growth plan to achieve Wella's vision to be the Partner of Choice for Beauty Professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, propose & align with right levels of business management, design and deliver systemic improvements in our growth activities, including processes, ways of working and execution to deliver Category growth for the UK&I Professional Hair Care Sector.
- Propose, approve and manage Budgets on project by project basis.
- Demonstrate how proposed interventions will enable our organization to deliver on business objectives and ambitions.
- Close the loop by reporting on results vs recommendations and capture and share lessons learnt with relevant stakeholders in UK and Global teams.
- Be the voice of the Customer in order to put the Hairdresser at Heart when working to develop and deploy interventions to ensure sell in performance matches sell out from the customer.
- Work with Supply Chain, Sales Planning and Finance to create accurate Financial forecasts for interventions, to deliver against forecast accuracy targets.
- Track, monitor and review delivery of interventions against Gain targets and drive continuous improvement to optimise or correct plans throughout the planning and execution process.
- Manage the Red Club loyalty program, including tier level optimisation, reward strategy, and data analysis to drive engagement and retention.
- Lead Point of Sale (POS) management by briefing materials to HH Global, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the timely availability of effective and sufficient POS assets.
- Own the development of the Digital Sales Folder (DSF) for each cycle, aligning with global guidance and brand recommendations to ensure commercial effectiveness.
- Working with Sales, Education, Capability and Marketing, leverage all available data sources to better understand factors impacting gain, loss and maintenance of customers and develop interventions against these to enhance sales efficiency.
- Building strong working relationships across the business to deliver growth objectives & drive the business.
- Provide Global Divisions with feedback and insight into local market to improve and evolve Global programs, toolkits and processes.
- Work with Sales to learn from and ensure that interventions are practical and easy to implement.
- Leverage Education expertise to ensure concepts are fit for customer and client to ensure sell out.
- Represent the customer with Marketing Teams in creation planning and delivery of interventions.
- Ensure best in class execution across all involved teams against budgets and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Ideal candidate would have both field sales experience, ideally within the professional hair category in addition to trade marketing/ commercial experience.
- Understanding of P&L and management of budgets.
- You are very organised and operate with high level of discipline.
- You have excellent analytical skills; you are comfortable analysing large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans in compelling manners.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills; you are an advanced user of Excel & PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple projects within tight timeline.
- Creative and innovative idea generation.
- Clear communication and ability to translate concepts into workable briefs.
- Significant interaction with marketing and sales teams and external agency contacts.
- You always push for more and set higher, braver targets; you donβt just want to meet your brands growth targets but blow them out of the water, though never at the expense of ethical behaviour and safe ways of working.
- You are driven to succeed but never at a colleague's expense; you assume good intent in others; disagree openly but then fully back the decision made by your manager and your leadership.
