Migrant Help have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Lived Experience Research Coordinator to join our team!

Location: Homebased (with regular travel required across London and surrounding counties)

Contract: 7 month fixed term

Hours: 21 hours per week

Salary: Β£33,590 (pro rata)

The Lived Experience Research Coordinator role is part of the Client Voice team. You will support a National Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP)-led research project. This co-production project, in partnership with the University of Westminster, aims to improve the client experience in our Asylum and Modern-Day Slavery services. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing data, presenting findings to diverse audiences, and contributing to service improvements for those services.

To enable success in the post, the successful candidate MUST have lived experience of our Migrant Help services, either provided by our Asylum or Modern-Day Slavery Teams. This specific experience is required due to the nature of the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting research on client experiences within Migrant Help’s Asylum and Modern-Day Slavery services
  • Developing research methods in collaboration with university researchers and LEAP members
  • Supporting LEAP members and other people with lived experience to take part in research as appropriate
  • Analysing client feedback and other relevant data
  • Drafting and coordinating sign-off of final report
  • Conducting interviews with clients and identifying key themes and insights
  • Adhering to internal protocols and processes to ensure timely and appropriate escalation of safeguarding concerns
  • Signposting clients to support services when necessary, ensuring their well-being is prioritised and upholding professional boundaries

  • Familiarity with ethical considerations in research
  • Experience in engaging diverse stakeholders, including those with lived experience
  • Passion for research and improving services for clients
  • Strong IT and analytical skills and ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Public speaking skills and confidence in delivering presentations
