Salary: FTE £22,256 - £20,574, PT salary £10,843 - £11,730 + well-being cash plan + pension scheme + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: Part time 19.5 hours (full day Mon and Tue and finish at 12.30 Wed)

Contract type: Initially 1 year FTC but likely to be extended or made permanent

She has established a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented team of staff where everyone is committed to ensuring all children at Montgomery achieve their very best academically through excellent teaching and a well-crafted, ambitious curriculum. This has seen the school graded 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted and in excess of 91% of KS2 children meeting the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths.

Your new role: Montgomery Primary Academy are incredibly proud to be among the first in the country to benefit from a new initiative aimed at increasing access to early years education, meaning we have been awarded funding for 10 new full-time nursery places for two year olds, from September 2025. This is incredibly exciting for the local community and we are looking forward to welcoming children to our brand new dedicated nursery space. We have been awarded the Gold Artsmark in recognition of our enriched curriculum and are looking for a teaching assistant to work alongside our existing team to create and develop a fun learning environment that empowers our children, equipping them with the knowledge, language, and confidence to succeed academically and in life.

What you'll need to succeed: You will have a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification with an understanding of a range of pupil's learning needs. You will have patience in interactions with a variety of students and situations, with a calm demeanour and have empathy to understand the needs and challenges of students and be able to relate to them on a personal level. You will also be somebody who can engage and enthuse students to want to learn. We will review applications and interview ASAP so please apply or make contact ASAP.
