Become the primary Business Manager to the Rates and Credit desks. Partner with the COO Manager and collaborate with the wider EMEA COO team, liaising with EU offices for business expansion projects and ongoing operations. Lead Front Office (FO) related projects within the FO Business Management function.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide business management support to rates and credit.
- Support the desks with building business case for new business, implementing new products or projects, and set up clear go live documentation and controls before handing over to BAU.
- Act as a FO escalation point person and push for resolutions of issues preventing business operations.
- Build expertise on these desks and effectively communicate/escalate issues and business progress (e.g., large deals, P&L, organizational or IT matters) to the COO manager.
- Support manager and partner with the wider COO team, including:
- Support the EU Universal Bank go live for derivatives business.
- Liaise with the EU offices for BAU matters.
- Conduct strategic analysis.
- Feed into Markets updates.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

- Strong project management capabilities - including a problem-solving mindset, a delivery focus, the ability to manage and prioritise a wide and comprehensive workload, escalate issues and communicate progress clearly.
- Proven ability to deliver change and enhance functionality.
- Organised and comfortable with managing several projects in parallel, as well as with evolving prioritisation.
- Relationship building expertise - ability to leverage internal relationships and build trust.
- Experience of working with various internal stakeholders.
- Product knowledge - Experience working with markets products, especially Fixed Income Derivatives, with at least a good understanding of Rates cash and derivatives products.
- Awareness and understanding of the fundamentals of the instruments the Bank provides to the client base.
- Commercial mindset - ability to critically assess business strategies and operational efficiencies.
- Market Knowledge - awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment.
- Regulatory & Risk Acumen - awareness and understanding of the overall regulatory framework and associated Risk parameters.
- Strategic Thinking - Good understanding of an Investment Banking Trading business.
- Effective Presentation Skills - Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely with seniority level, verbally and in writing, internally and externally.
- Organisational Awareness - Possess (develop) a comprehensive understanding of the Group's overall aims, structures, policies and culture.
