The Quality Officer - Asylum Services Role

Part of the Quality team, the AIRE Quality Officer is a dynamic and rewarding role at Migrant Help. You will ensure compliance and quality within our AIRE teams, these are the teams that work on our Asylum Support Services. You will carry out audits and assessments both internally and with subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements, as well as quality assurance checks and calibration sessions. You will report on your findings and find opportunities for improvement to drive operational quality procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities Of Our Quality Officer - Asylum Services

  • To ensure the AIRE (Asylum Support) service adheres to all legal and contractual requirements, finding opportunities for improvement and actioning solutions to develop our quality standards, contract compliance and improve future audit results.
  • Carry out internal audits as required, including planning, auditing and report writing.
  • Work with the AIRE (Asylum Support) teams to ensure our clients receive accurate support, advice and guidance, delivered with empathy and kindness.
  • Develop performance monitoring processes across various teams, helping to develop quality scorecards and quality assurance processes.
  • To collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure audits and assessments are planned and executed correctly.
  • To provide support and deliver feedback to colleagues in order to drive understanding and compliance to quality standards.
  • To build positive relationships and a strong network to create an open and honest environment for the assessments and audits to take place.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring timely completion of quality assessments and audits, working with colleagues and partners to develop a strong and efficient audit plan.
  • Monitor compliance and scorecard completion.
  • Lead on Calibration Sessions and guide colleagues through the various quality assurance processes.
  • Provide information and reports to the Management Team outlining quality assessment trends, non-conformities, risks and opportunities for improvement, both for Migrant Help and external suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Support the teams to ensure operational documents are correctly reviewed, updated, and controlled.

The Skills And Abilities You Need

  • A good knowledge of the UK asylum system.
  • Significant knowledge of internal and/or external audit procedures.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Assurance procedures and strategies.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of colleagues.
  • Ability to create clear and detailed reports, including data analysis, suggestions and opportunities for improvement, and a proposed action plan to tackle any non-conformities.
