Our client is a multi-award winning, independent organisation with a fantastic reputation in the medical & manufacturing sectors. Due to the company’s continued expansion, the following vacancy, based at their facility in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, has been created. They are looking to recruit a motivated Electronics Technician to join the team!

Main Duties:

  • Manufacture and terminate Dsubs, crimping and soldering
  • Assemble coaxial cables using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Build and route wiring looms neatly and in an organised layout ensuring correct identification and continuity of cables
  • Assemble mechanical components ensuring proper fit and alignment
  • Utilise correct hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Follow work instructions and diagrams to construct various electronic sub-assemblies
  • Perform continuity and resistance checks using multimeter and cable testers
  • Report, document and rework defects
  • Contribute to identification of improvements in processes and procedures
  • Follow Engineering Drawings and detailed work instructions
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Quality Procedures

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Electronics background
  • Familiarity with the use of Electronics Test Equipment
  • Use of soldering Iron
  • The ability to work mainly unsupervised
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Awareness of working to ISO9001 Quality Standards

Benefits:

  • Company pension scheme whereby the company pays 3% each month and the employees pay 5%
  • Employees can opt to take part in the salary sacrifice scheme whereby their pension contributions are taken before they are taxed
  • 25 Days a year holiday, running from 1st Jan - 31 Dec, plus bank holidays. Should the company decide to close between Christmas and New Year, these days will be a bonus
  • The office has access to free on-site parking
  • Lunchtime finish on Fridays
