We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Housing team in Farnborough. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service, which will include promoting independent living, providing tenancy advice and signposting to other agencies for support. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with older or vulnerable people in a housing management setting and is knowledgeable about safeguarding.

The role of Scheme Manager will include:

  • Providing tenancy advice to residents
  • Promoting independent living and signposting to appropriate agencies
  • Encouraging residents to organise and get involved in activities
  • Completing mandatory compliance tasks along with health and safety checks
  • Reporting and monitoring repairs to conclusion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Wellbeing calls to residents via warden call system
  • Supporting the lettings team to manage vacant flats
  • Providing cover at schemes in the region for other Scheme Managers
  • Managing low level anti-social behaviour

Skills and experiences:

  • Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Some experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs or similar
  • Ability to work alone and manage workloads to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

The full-time equivalent salary for this role is £26,643 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £27,467 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance.
