Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a small and nurturing Alternative Provision in the Ingleton area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may face challenges in mainstream education and help them re-engage with learning in a supportive and structured setting.

About the Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across a range of subjects
  • Supporting pupils with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
  • Helping to create a calm, positive classroom environment that promotes progress
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encouraging personal development

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school or care-based settings welcome)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient nature
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Prior experience in alternative provision or SEN (desirable but not essential)
