Thanks to a combined wealth of knowledge and experience between our directors, Global have become industry experts in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression and security systems.
Due to continued growth and market development, we are now seeking to appoint a number of Service Engineers Ansul & Fire Extinguishers, to be field based covering various regions throughout the UK.
Job Purpose
To carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems. To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date. To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to. To ensure compliance with the GFS management system as it applies to this position.
Key Accountabilities
- To carry out fire extinguisher and Ansul fire suppression system servicing and remedials at various sites such as restaurants and hotels.
- Providing a good level of customer service and professional manner at all times.
- Arranging your own diary and booking in appointments with clients.
- Completing paperwork and reports to be sent back in a timely manner.
- Take part in the on call rota alongside your colleagues.
- To ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety.
- To monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment.
- Record inspection reports.
- To keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
- To have working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures.
About You
- Demonstrable experience of servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems.
- Qualifications to service fire extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems in accordance with British Standards.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices.
- Strong customer care focus.
- Be proactive and capable of anticipating potential faults.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg.
